Jan-Willem Bobbink’s journey into the digital world started in 1997, when he built his first website and ranked it in the search engines of that era, think AltaVista, Excite and HotBot, long before Google even existed. By 2004, at just 16, he launched his first international webshop selling inline skating materials, and immediately got hooked on online marketing. During the years that followed, he developed extensive knowledge of performance marketing by building multiple affiliate marketing concepts. In 2011, after several years of working independently, he decided to make the next step in his career: utilizing his SEO knowledge for the bigger players in the market.
Today, Jan-Willem is a freelance international SEO consultant specializing in enterprise SEO strategy, international and local SEO, mobile SEO, and large-scale technical challenges for websites with 50 million+ pages. He has ranked websites in all 244 countries recognized by Google, including Christmas Island. His client portfolio includes work with major organizations like eBay Classifieds Group / Adevinta, where he spent three years leading SEO for classifieds platforms across the globe.
With nearly 30 years of hands-on experience spanning both frontend and backend development, Jan-Willem combines deep technical expertise with strategic SEO thinking. This developer background is what drives him to build his own SEO tools, turning everyday challenges into scalable solutions.
